Richie "Gajate" Garcia Is a highly acclaimed drummer and percussionsist who has established his reputation as a great player and educator. Growing up in Puerto Rico around the likes of Tito Puente and Armando Peraza helped shape his appreciation for salsa and love for Latin Percussion. Richie has recorded movie soundtracks for "The Italian Job", "Maid in Manhattan" "I-Spy" and "The Mummy Returns" with the London Symphony. He is the percussionist of choice for the Disney Studios and has played on the Disney Animated films "Kronk's New Groove", "Emperor's New Goove", "Brother Bear" and "Robots" and is the author of Play Congas Now - The Basics and Beyond.
